who come to enjoy the subtropical climate, pristine beaches, fishing,
golfing, tennis - a recreational paradise. In its mangrove forest
you will find oysters, crabs, mullet, snapper, snook, pelicans,

There
are three main ways to be to Marco Island's beautiful beaches, through
Tigertail Beach, Residents' Beach and South Beach. A short distance
north of the island on Shell Island Road off State Road 951 is the
9,400-acre Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, managed
by the Florida Department of Natural Resources.
